You need to use various rules about parallel lines for that one. In particular, the X-rule and the Z-rule. You can use them to show that 4x and 2z both equal 80°, and from there it should be simple.


Why did the vector cross the road?

as the two lines are intersecting, the opposite angles are equal

so 4x = 80,x = 20

then, angles add together to 360

so 360 - 80*2 = 2y * 2
200 = 4y
y = 50

then as those two arrowed lines are perpendicular, and the other line intersects both, the set of angles are exactly the same, so 2z = 80, z = 40

thank you all so very much i was doing it this way :
i tryed to do that.
i said that the striaght line has to 180 degrees.
so i put 180 = 4x or 2y or 2z...
but answers came out totally different from yours

Actually you could have done it using 180 also to get y, you were on the right track:

180 = 80 + 2y
100 = 2y
y = 50
