France may limit freedom of speech!
France may limit freedom of speech when it comes to the history of certain genocides, says the news I just read.
If they feel so strongly, why not just have a day of rememberence for the aweful genocide.
However, to force people to say or not say certain things is a very bad thing to our minds.
It's like telling us we have to build rules in our heads as to what can and can't be said.
It is totally stupid and not allowing personal freedom to prosper within the society.
Imagine for a moment that even an earthworm may possess a love of self and a love of others.

Recently they wanna move one step further to make personal blogs registered under real names, two years after they did the same thing to campus forums. Guess what they say? Freedom is not absolute. Can they report what they do everyday in government to us, for the freedom is not absolute thing? "Management"- so we are doomed to be censored and controled and "cared" by the big father, huh?

I don't think "silly" is a quite adaquate way to describe it.
"Threatening to our way of life", "Erosion of liberties", and "Just down right moronic" come to mind.
"In the real world, this would be a problem. But in mathematics, we can just define a place where this problem doesn't exist. So we'll go ahead and do that now..."

I agree with Ricky. Freedom of speech is a fundamental right, and ought not to be restrained.
