Find the equation for :A line that passes through (5,4) and has a slope of 2.
Thanks
Can you please write what kind of thoughts you've done about this? It's a matter of principle for me, that I won't answer questions if you havn't even tried yourself. I'm not saying you havn't, I'm just asking you to show that you have

Hi runlemmingsrun1,
Here, one point and the slope are given.
So, we have to use the slope-point formula.
That is, (y - y1) = m (x - x1)
Given that, (x1,y1) = (5,4) and the slope m = 2.
y - 4 = 2 (x - 5)
y - 4 = 2x - 10
y - 2x = -10 +4
y - 2x = -6
y - 2x +6 = 0
This is our required answer.
