I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but I'm pretty sure that the good old Pythagorean Theorem is the tool you need

Patrick is right. Using Pythagoras, you can work out the diagonal of the table as √(32.5²+32.5²) = 46.0".

thank you for the 46" measurement. I understand that it is the sq root of 32.5" sqd + 32.5" sqd, but (for future referrence) is there a formula that I can use for other such problems?? I mean how would I have found the sq root of c sqd to come up with the answer?

Hmm, let me guess, you've never used the formula have you? It should be pretty straight forward if you had..
