Old guy, young heart...
Hi, guess I may be a little older than some of you (46 actually), but still behaving in ways that my mother disapproves of. An accountant for 25 years, now running my own hotel & restaurant in the English countryside. Stumbled on this site thanks to an infuriating problem set by a TV game show and thoroughly enjoying giving the grey cells a work out.
Above all else, hoping not to make a fool of myself, having forgotten all of my calculus!

May I say how pleasant this forum seems to be! Everybody seems to talk to each other as human beings with no sign of flame or rudeness. I think I may stay a while!!

Well, that's partially helped by the subject that the forum is about.
The type of person who would needlessly flame or be rude would probably think "Maths is boring" and go away.
But I like to think that our little community is a nice bunch of people who are willing to help whenever they can.
