How many possible combination?

Hi everyone I am having this tough time solving this question..

Its a combination of 6 sets of letters with a pattern going like this.. CVCCVC where C is a consonant and V is a vowel. so 1 example would be "jonjon".
So i was thinking the formula might be (21^5)*(5^2) which i dont think it is correct.

Can anyone help me? I was reading the combination formula page but I still do not quite get it.

Re: How many possible combination?

Hi;

Do you want some particular order of consonants and vowels?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Re: How many possible combination?

the 2nd and 5th letter must be a vowel. the rest can be any other consonant. can be repetitive. for example.. pampam, jonson.

It actually a password generated question and they are asking how many possible passwords can the machine generate.
