Derivatives!!!!

Hi!

I'm wondering if I can calculate (or find the limit) a sum like this:

S = ½ [ f`(1) + f`(2) + f`(3) + .... + f`(n) ]

where:  f(x) = (½)^n   , with n ∈N  and n≥1

Sooo?? Any ideas? big_smile

Re: Derivatives!!!!

Your n is used as a counting variable, so what do we take the derivative with respect to?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
