matrix A is symmetric, find values for a, b, and c

1. 3x3 matrix question.
                                                         2, s, t
Determine the value of 3s+t when A=  2, 0, s+t   is a symmetric matrix.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
Of course that result can be rigorously obtained, but who cares?
Combinatorics is Algebra and Algebra is Combinatorics.

This is the way I see your matrix A.

We have t = 3 and s = 0

so 3s + t = 3
