Make the Amount

A simple game to make $1.00: Make the Amount

Can choose different currencies.

(I am working on a variation where you are given random coins like $0.19, $0.21, $0.43 etc as well)

Does it work for you? Ideas/suggestions?

Re: Make the Amount

Hi;

It is working fine. Is that a Susan B. Anthony dollar for the American money.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

Re: Make the Amount

hi MathsIsFun,

Yes, it works for me in several currencies.  Correctly remembers successful attempts so they don't get double counted.  I decided I wouldn't try to get all 4563 cases for UK.  eek  Once the 'found space' was full, no new attempts were shown (maybe scrolling ?).

Switched to other currencies. Like NZ smile as it only had 11 to find and I got them all.  Disappointed not to get a fanfare.

I think the random amount will be more useful as you could practise making amounts in a currency you want to learn about.

Also great for kids learning about money.
