5 Pirates PuzzlesI have made TWO versions of this puzzle (used to have just one). "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #2 2011-05-20 06:58:45
Re: 5 Pirates PuzzlesVersion 2 is the only one I looked at. Imagine for a moment that even an earthworm may possess a love of self and a love of others. #3 2011-08-12 02:27:22
Re: 5 Pirates PuzzlesRegarding the original problem (with all pirates voting): #4 2013-04-14 16:34:06
Re: 5 Pirates PuzzlesHi.
I would suggest adding that if a pirate would get less coins by voting against a proposal, then he would not vote against it. This is just for greater clarification of the puzzle. Holding on to anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. #5 2013-04-14 16:52:04
Re: 5 Pirates Puzzles
I gave this a go, and my proposed solutions is under another post titled: #6 2013-04-14 22:24:41
Re: 5 Pirates PuzzlesI’m glad the other thread was closed because it was totally pointless. I suggest this thread be closed as well. Holding on to anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. #7 2013-04-14 22:27:40
Re: 5 Pirates PuzzlesHi; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. |
