Hi;
He warns against thinking of Algebra II as a cause of students getting good jobs merely because it is correlated with success.
That is the kind of guy I have seen for the last 75 years. Next he will assert that although there is a correlation between education and good jobs we should not jump to conclusions!
Only 13 percent of those who took the Algebra II test in Arkansas were deemed prepared or better, but state officials said they are aiming to raise that figure rather than lower standards.
Amazing! Someone in the US is not going to lower standards! What! Have they no understanding of parody? After all even the creature from the black lagoon has the right to attend our schools and do as well as anyone else.
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
