Long Division no calculator

I'm going to re-post again but without the rest of the question to avoid any confusion.

I'm doing long division and I have 7296/577 . I go through the long division process and I get a quotient of 12 with a remainder of 372. If I were to use the calculator, the answer is 12.64 or just 12.6 for simples. My question is, how do I get/find this .4 that is on the end of the 12?

Re: Long Division no calculator

hi Mariner,

Do 372/577 to get the decimal

or decimal x 577 to get the remainder.
