Hello allI thought I would stop by and introduce myself. I received my GED when I was 16, back in 1982. I returned to school back in 1992 to get a certificate in HVAC. I then became disabled in 2005. An injury at work. I about went crazy from 2005 to 2007. I am not one to sit around the house all day doing nothing. Anyway; I had my last surgery 12-07 and decided that I can still work. Even thou I have limitations. So I started back to school again. The subject of studies in math that I am taking this semester is Linear algebra and I am taking Differential equations, as well as other courses. The problem is that there are not any tutors at the community college that know either of the two subjects. I am glad I found this forum and for the help that I have already received. #2 2011-01-31 12:26:09
Re: Hello allHi aqa; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. #3 2011-01-31 23:04:36
