Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

A blowup Angelina Jolie doll complete with 5 kids that you place in the front seat of your car, so that people won't know you are dateless on Saturday night.

Licorice tasting fingernails. Now chewing on your nails can be even more enjoyable.

LMAO!

Question, does the Angelina doll come with an extra pair of inflatable lips? It would be incomplete if the first pair were to pop...

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

A fat faced frog, just like her daddy.

Here is my latest invention.

You have heard of electronic cigarettes, I trust. Of course you have. Mine is electronic socks. Good hah! They can be downloaded from http://www.mysocksarenonstinky.com

They are just beginning to catch on in America after a very successful ad campaign in Europe. They come in over 1100 colors. No, we do not have striped yet. They are lightweight, stylish, never need washing, easy on the environment, form fitting for the gals and absolutely guaranteed to never get a hole. Or double your money back!

In independent laboratory tests the socks were found to be completely safe and there are no known allergic reactions.

As a special offer for the next 3 days. If you download 5 pairs you will get a wonderful pair of gloves made out of the same material, absolutely free. Offer good only while supplies last.

*Void where prohibited by law or the recipients are incapable of psychotic delusions.

Not as well as my socks are doing. We have expanded now to electronic ladies shoes and they are really selling.

@Theories are not facts, no matter how much publicity they get.

I'm a new member on this forum, out of curiosity I surfed into the Jokes and saw this thread first smile
I thought you guys have got into insubstantial mode by displaying such ignorance!

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

Hi akula2;

Welcome to the forum!

Theories are not facts, no matter how much publicity they get.

No argument there. Mainstream theories get the most publicity. They are spread through countless documentaries as they should be. They represent the current state of our knowledge.

I thought you guys have got into insubstantial mode by displaying such ignorance!

This is a joke thread. You don't point out where the substantial ignorance is located so it will be difficult to kill. We do have many discussion type threads that not everyone will agree with but that still isn't an example of ignorance, just diversity.

It doesn't matter how much publicity they manage to get, was hinting about the relevance (facts). Mainstream theories have become a part of the humanity (gave better life, progress etc), without those results (say, Maxwell) humanity would be still living in those Medieval times! Had Scientific community thought like that they would have happily buried The Theory of Relativity long time back (why to spend millions on launching the Satellites or build massive billion dollar projects such as LHC...as a researcher I had to respond on this one roll

Sure, me gonna give you the benefit of doubt and am in no mood to get into all this in my vacation days...maybe next time. Thanks smile

I said welcome, I never said I was going to agree with you. A hindu told me that all people were necessary to make up the world. None could be removed, That enlightened opinion was spoken thousands of years ago. Not everything modern is better just because it is newer. A race that understood that as a race, seems to me would be far ahead of a race that understands relativity and nothing else.

When you put it that way you make it sound like a commercial. Recent scientific advances were like giving a loaded machine gun to a five year old. If it all ends we might be wondering how good it was in medieval times. Sorry, I am a lot like G.H. Hardy, some fields were better left primitive,

Spending hundreds of trillions on better weapons of  destruction. Tunneling out the earth to build military bases, wasting money in outer space, funding hellish genetic research. Polluting the earth, air and water, these are signs of not progress but decadence. A society not on the way up but one on the way out!

The question at the end of the movie The Day the Earth Stood Still. Are we willing to surrender our precious oil burning gadgets to survive?

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

Hi moreiraerson;

Welcome to the forum! Is that mighty putty better than that world shaking silly putty.
It's claim to fame was that if you stuck it on a picture it would transfer it to the putty.
I had a pair of white pants like that.

Excellent idea. Tar pants! Now those two old expressions, "Beat the tar out of ya" and "Beat the pants off of ya" would make more sense.
