Periodic Table Memorisation Game

http://www.sporcle.com/games/elements.php

Useful game to memorise the periodic table. Whether you're memorising them by group, period, or possibly even backwards, that game'll help you.

Unfortunately, I can't find any game that lets you memorise anything else to do with the periodic table - i.e. compound names, or electron shell capacities. Though, I guess you could just do that on paper.

Hi Devante;

I got 57, not so good, I used to get around 90.

I got 54. I was shooting for 50 though, so I'm happy about that. smile

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Re: Periodic Table Memorisation Game

You guys are phenomenal.
I've studied the chem chart for many months in 2002 when I was locked up,
so I got 93 correct!!!
For the record, I missed these, some because I can't spell well:
Te W Pt Po Pr Pm Gd Yb Cm Fm Lr Rf Sg Hs Mt Ds Rg Uub Uut Uuq Uup Uuh Uus Uuo
It's nice they had encyclopedias in the funny farm.

Re: Periodic Table Memorisation Game

I did the test again and this time got them all in under five minutes – 4 minutes 54 seconds to be precise.

Re: Periodic Table Memorisation Game

The site is good for other things too --

Powers of 2 game (up to 2^32)
Powers of n^10 (useful to see your mental potential)
Primes
Common Polyatomic Anions Chemical Names
"Name That Mathematician"
Cubic Numbers

There are more pretty fun ones, though I find the science section quizzes more interesting.

Got all the primes with 26 seconds left.

Re: Periodic Table Memorisation Game

How many countries can you name?

It's quite difficult to get over 60 in this one.

Re: Periodic Table Memorisation Game

(Measly 12 on the countries) I am sure I could have gotten more if I had more time.  More of a typing test than anything else.

Re: Periodic Table Memorisation Game

I got 41. On the Periodic Table. That's just tragic. Yeah, typing and only when I spell them right, took me a while though. Oh geez, the countries are even worse, I got 8. But that's cause I was accidentally saying continents. I'm doing those again.... Oh, that time I got 10 countries. But that game makes me panic I don't think good when I panic. That's more like it, 74 on the periodic table because I had more time.
