Why Z^2=x^2 + Y^2

I think it was about 7 years ago, I was thinking about why Z^2=X^2+ Y^2, my brain just come out the diagram I have attracted very quickly.

So, 2xy+Z^2 = (x+y)^2
     Z^2=x^2+Y^2

Hey I think it should have more solution and reason!

I can't upload the image, can somebody tell me? my file size is 628 kb is it the reason?

I guess you are thinking of one of the geometric constructions on this website.
