I saw something like that at the start of Life on Mars, before he got hit by the car. A dude was being questioned by the police but his lawyer showed them a tape of him at a casino all night of when the chick was murdered but the guy at the casino was actually the crim's identical twin brother.

I wonder why they didn’t use fingerprints. Checking their DNA is totally useless – identical twins have the same set of DNA. However even identical twins have different fingerprints – so that’s surely one thing by which they could be separated.

Footprints are also different too, but that would be of no use.
