Algebraic equation

Hello,

I seek help in proving that the following algebraic equation :

represents a hyperbola , parabola, or an ellipse if ( respectively ) :

where A , B , and C real coefficients.

x and t are variables, ofcourse.

Perhaps it's something simple , but I cant seem to figure it out.

I figured out that the left side can be reduced into :

any brilliant ideas ? perhaps something wrong with the equation  ?
