cot(x)=0

How do u solve this equation

? If I use the definition
then when I multiply both sides by zero I get 1 = 0 which I don't think should happen!

Re: cot(x)=0

Instead of using 1/tan, use cos/sin. Then you just need the values of θ for which cosθ = 0 and sinθ ≠ 0.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

To quote Jane (http://www.mathisfunforum.com/viewtopic.php?id=9870):

For cotx to equal 0, tanx must be shooting off towards infinity.
