Line Graphs

the question is I have to complete this table of values for y = 1/4x - 3 and I am stuck, I dont get how you work it. If any of you guys can help me that would be great thanks, and below is the table which I need to fill it in.

All you need to do is replace the x in y = 1/4x - 3 by the values in your table.

So, to work out what to fill in below -8, you say y = (1/4)(-8) - 3.
This works out as -2 - 3 = -5, and so that's your answer.

Similarly, to work out the other two values, replace x in the equation by -4, and then 8.
