I'm so confused!

Ok, can you help me with this please!

A farmer builds a fence along a busy road.  He builds it by putting posts 1 metre  a part from each other. (There are 3 rails running horizontally between each post) Just like a traditional fence.

How many rails are needed for x metres?

Re: I'm so confused!

Unless I'm missing something, for x metres the farmer would need 3x rails.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.
