The fact that you are asking a question about the Wronskian implies that you’ve already met the Wronskian in your lectures. You should re-read your lecture notes on the definition of the Wronskian and make sure you know what it is. (You can’t solve problems involving Wronskians if you don’t even know what a Wronskian is.)

If you are given two functions, they are linearly independent over an interval if their Wronskian is not identically 0 in that interval.
