A carrom board (4 ft × 4 ft square) has the queen at the centre .The queen, hit by the striker moves to the front edge, rebounds and goes in the hole behind the striking line. Find the magnitude of displacement of the queen
a) from the centre of the front edge
b) from the front edge to the hole.
I am not able to figure out the movement of striker on the board.
pls. help.

The force on the charged particle due to electric and magnetic fields is given by

my mother wanted me to take PCMB and become a doctor(as I also scored highest everytime in biology), but i am very sensitive to things , so I dropped the idea.
I was confused between Comp. sc., Economics and P.E., then a comp.sc. student told me that you can learn programming anytime anywhere, so why sit for exams for that as even a small silly error in writing programs can cost loosing good marks.
So now I am confused between Economics and P.E.?
What do you suggest?

then I used the formula
and simplified it.

The exact question is :-
If θ≠n*pi and tanθ is the geometric mean between sinθ and cosθ , then prove that 2-4sin^2θ+3sin^4θ-sin^6θ=1
geometric mean was given what I mentioned and the solution solved the above in just a single line saying
after that sinθ was taken in terms of cos^3θ and the question was solved easily.
But I couldn't get how this result was obtained..
