Get that dictionary out!

Perhaps it is something like copyright?

It is something like copyright yes. It is selfdeclaring, I have heard.

In simple terms, I did the rules, I did the game, all that do the same thing -PAY ME! (accordingly)
Until 70 years after I'm dead.

Upphovsrättslagen also applies to designs. Do I have to mention I've allready made the pieces?

LQ, I think it's a bit complicated for a christmas-only game... Also, the thing about the 3% made me laugh, I'm very sorry, but it did. What law are you referring to by the way?

Upphovsrättslagen? (use a swedish english dictionary)

It works like this: you are my friends, I play christmas chess, you play christmas chess, I came up with it and was the first to make the design, so eventually, not to say directly I get "upphovsrätt".

When the king moves in the same way over and over and over again? Stalemate is always the same i think. Or is stalemate when you can't move at all?

Yeah, basically it's free if you make an internet game out of it. Since you wouldn't sell the product. So I give you permission to make the game (under the terms I have made)

That's nice. People sometimes don't realise that family is the best thing about Christmas. smile

I got a digital guitar tuner, a pair of trousers, a new pair of shoes, a couple of blankets, some chocolate, a brown-lined pair or jean-trousers. And a couple more things. Quite a lot this Christmas. yikes

I like Christmas not because of the gifts. It's nice just to turn all the lights off in the house and look at the Christmas tree and sit in silence and warmth. That's what Christmas is all about.

Few realise the value of a family reunion, yes. If it was counted in working hours, it's more expensive then any present. And we still have the incommon experience to multiply it with. That might not sound much, but compareably it's alot per second. I don't think anything you get in present can compare to that per second.

Post a number of sentences in the form of the title of the thread, where the n'th sentence starts over with the
(n-q)'th sentence, and continues, sentence after sentence, still making sence.

example:

*Not tasty in a purely grammatical way.
Not purely in a language fixated way
Not fixated in a good way
Not good in a tasty way*

I got a portable multiplayer that can play cd, dvd and all kinds of stuff. And like 250 omega 3,6 capsules. And a cd, beeeren auslese, kombucha green tea, and chocolate with ginger pieces, a dressing gown, slippers, but the best of all was being with my whole family.

Or red and white squares. Because of its christmas properties. How about only the squares where one player can move to and the other player can take the piece in light up? I think that invention was discussed in the x-files. Or was that something else? dunno.

I am thinking, perhaps the square shines red if black player can take white, and white if the white player can take black.

What about instead of colouring the chess different, you have an ON button and XMAS lightdiodes under every square? Since you probably play it on christmas, you can save the batteries until next year. or put them somewhere they make use.

But on a computer, there is nothing forbidding blue and yellow squares. Neither in real life. Do as you feel. I guess you want them to be because of its origin and that it is almost a totaly new game? Or because you don't think it might work?

Anyway, all I want from anyone who makes the game with the rules in the first post of this thread is |3%| of what you sold the product containing it for and credit for making the rules and if you don't give me that, then it is my will that you may not sell it. If you don't give me that then you shall by law be forced to do so in the highest degree possible currently and through selling a game with my rules you accept that.

If the product containing the game with the rules in my first post in this thread is given or used for free, then no costs are paid to me obviously unless credits is a cost, then only that is payed. You need to give me credits for making the rules still.

Is that ok? Obviously no one will want to give it away for free (unless to draw attention to a site), when all i want is 3%.

If you want my adress to know where to send the money and/or name for credits in case you are interested, then I suggest that you mail me on this adress: formatrix@sailormoon.com

If 3% is 2 much, then convince me by discussing. Is one procent plausible?

I like you, Devante. You're a good friend. Please do have a merry christmas.

I was also thinking of making an eggclock mobile, so that you could shut it down for x minutes, without the fuzz. For elderly phoners, if nothing else.

The AI would be slightly different from that of normal chess simulators. My father is playing normal chess with my sisters boyfriend as we speak. How is your christmas turning out?

Swedish "tomte" = brownie according to the internet lexikon. It's a mythological creature that helps santa to make the presents.

brownie  = santa's little helper

I was thinking of a kind of "superchess" that you can play on christmas.

These are the rules for the game that I made: When a piece is about to take a piece of the same kind, both becomes the brownie equivalent of that piece. Each brownie equivalent gets a litte cap (that looks like a knitted cap), for distinguishing purposes.
All you need to play christmas chess is those caps and a chess board.

These are the rules for brownies:
1.A brownie pawn can move backwards and forwards and can take any piece except pawns and those with caps, through any single diagonal step.

2.Instead of a piece with cap taking another piece with cap of the same kind, they switch place.

3.When a normal piece or its brownie equivalent is about to take the other, the brownie equivalent gives the knitted cap to the other piece, and they do not take eachother.

4.If a brownie pawn gets to the other side, it becomes the brownie equivalent to any player you transform to.

Properties of the brownie equivalent to the:

Queen
The "queen brownie" (swedish: tomtemor*) A queen brownie is a queen with queen abilities but combined with the horses ability of being able to ignore existant players. It cannot take nor jump over a queen, knitted cap or not. Neither can it take any brownie.

Bishop
A bishop brownie is a bishop with bishop abilities but combined with the horses ability of being able to ignore existant players.  It cannot take nor jump over a bishop, knitted hat or not. Neither can it take any brownie.

Tower
A tower brownie is a tower with tower abilities but combined with the horses ability of being able to ignore existant players. It cannot take nor jump over a tower, knitted hat or not. Neither can it take any brownie.

Horse
A horse brownie is a reindeer with horse abilities but it destroys all enemy players in its path.  It cannot move in a way so that it attacks or jumps over a horse, knitted hat or not. Neither can it take any brownie.

*Santa's wife

If a brownie equivalent check mate a player, the threatened king becomes santa, and all of the pieces of the checkmated player becomes brownies and christmas is here, the one that made santa wins.

You say "X-mas is here" instead of checkmate.

Note: Rules updated, re-read the bold parts

When king is in stalemate it becomes a snowman. In all other ways, it is identical to normal chess
