Ok, thanks. No idea why it was throwing me off
I guess that makes sense but if it is the same line, it is not intersecting with itself is it? This is where I am confused...
the options that I have are as follows:
y=-2x+1
y=-2x+3
y=-1/2x+4
Being that it is parallel, I thought that it was y=-2x+1. Would this not be correct?
thank you
I only have the option of choosing one. this is why I am confused I think.
So the point would be above the line, correct?
Ok, can you explain why so I understand?
It did. Thanks again
I thought that I had the formula for this problem down but I am not coming up with an answer anywhere close. Can somone please assist?
Suppose a manufacturer finds that the cost y of producing x units is given by the formula of the form y=mx+b. If is costs $1,300 to produce 20 units and $1,750 to produce 35 units, what is the fixed cost?
Doesn't b determine the fixed cost?
I have no idea why but I completely forgot how to do this one.
find the value of a such that the three points (1,3), (6,5), and (a,-1) lie on the same line.
Find the y-intercept of the line passing through the point (14,12) and having slope 2/7
Find the equation of the line passing through the point (-2,5) and parallel to the line y=2x-3.
This question has thrown me off as I realize that lines intersect at only one point.
If two lines intersect in more than one point, then they are which of the following?
Unique
Inconsistent
Parallel
The same
None of these
My thought is none of these but wanted other opinions
at point (3,3)
Classify the point as "above", "below", or "on" the line y=-2x+7
On
Above
Below
The coordinates of the x-intercept are the same as the coordinates of the y-intercept on the graph of which of the following lines?
2x-3y=3
2x+2y=8
2x+y=2
x-3y=0
Can anyone help me with this problem?
Which of the following equations describe the same line as the equation 3x+4y=5?
y=3/4x+5
5-3x-4y=0
y=3/4x+5/4
6x+8y=5
Thanks
Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for your help. I really do appreciate it.
I guess it worked but I had to figure out the total cost as it was not provided so the balance was unknown. I had to work off of the payments for 3 years at once a month and the monthly interest.
Its paid off in 36 payments. 3 years once a month
the formula would be awsome
a down payment of $300 and payments of $200 per month for 3 years with an interest rate of 12% compounded monthly. I have to calculate the total cost based on downpayment + payment for 3 years at 12% compounded monthly
thank you
Bobby,
I think so. 4611.09 was one of the options but how did you work it out?
