solve the following problems.
Represent the unknowns using variables and then form the needed equation/s.

1. A store sells two kinds of pens, one kind at Php 45.00 and the other at Php 70.00.
During a month when its pen receipts were Php 1,100.00, it took in Php 20.00 more from sales of the more expensive pen from the sales of the others. How many of each kind were sold that month?

2. A bus line took in Php 29,025 for a certain trip. It received Php 17,975.00 more from first class tickets at Php 425.00 each than it did from tourist tickets at Php 500.00 each. How many tickets of each kind were sold?

3. Mary is twice as old as Jane was at the time when Mary was as old as Jane is now. The sum of the present ages of Mary and Jane is 28 years. How old is each now?
