Thanks you guys. I got the def. though. It's something like, a specific spot in the universe that has no size or shape. It's one of those undefined terms... they confuse me.

Ok, for my geometry class, we need to define the word point. He're what I've come up with:

1. a dot
2. an exact location
3. a coordinate
4. a node

Does anyone have any other definitions? It would help a lot!

I speak Portuguese (I'm from Brazil, though I'm living in the US right now) and a little bit of German... Oh! And I understand Spanish, I just can't speak it. I also know a bit of Latin, but I guess it doesn't really count as a language... It's dead, afterall... lol

I re-re-re... read all the books before Deathly Hallows came out, and it helped a lot! I still can't believe it's over...! J.K. Rowling is going to write a Harry Potter encyclopedia, thogh...
Did anyone else think the Epiloge didn't give enough information? I was really upset over it... Until I went and watched J.K.R.'s interviews, that is... big_smile

During Algebra, we were reviewing formulas, and my teacher asked, "what is the formula for the area of a circle?" and the whole class chanted back, "pi-r-squared" and she looked at us and said, "that is wrong". WE were all bewildered, until she said, "Pies are round!". We roared with laughter for about 10 minutes over that one.

Hey Everyone!
I'm Carolina, and, like a lot of people here, I really like math! (It's really great to join a forum where everyone's PSYCHED about numbers!!). Uhm... I've just joined and I don't know anyone here, but I thought I might introduce myself and see what happens! So... brief overview of myself: I'm a nerd and proud! I really like to read, work with computers, draw, solve puzzles and work with numbers. I pretty much like anything that has to do with logic, and you can follow rules and get answers (how many of you have figured out I strongly dislike spelling?). I'm part of my school's Math Counts team, and I'm really looking forward to this year's competition (because it will be my last... sad ).  I hope to learn a lot from everyone and make friends who like memorizing pi and solving quadratics as much as I do!!
