Re: Whats my line?

What!  It is not important?

What about that other guy's comment?:

Do not give up now brothers, I implore you! Unearth the cruel monsters deeds. You are so close! Find out about him that we may all rest comfortably.

We have a world to save!

Hi Bob;

What about that other guy's comment?:

He tends to get a little overboard every once in awhile.

Re: Whats my line?

Recapping

So this guy and his organisation get data from internet users' computers and do something evil with it.  He has been caught in the US and is expected to get 5 years for what he has done.  It is unclear how / if he makes money from his activities.  There are others who also do this but not to the same degree.  In some countries it is not even illegal.  It requires only a small amount of computing skill as he has been able to download most of what he needs to carry on his practice.

What he does is not phishing, DOS attacks, nor does it result in stopping computers from working, so not a distructive virus maker (although I don't think we have eliminated the possibility that he has a virus that does something non distructive).  Things like blackmail, computer aided theft, con tricks, pyramid selling are ruled out as we know how these can be used to make money.

16.  Could you speculate three pieces of data that he has about me, specifically me by name?

Re: Whats my line?

Your question is accurate because when I answer it you will probably no immediately what he does. Okay, the recap is essentially correct.

When I said he knows us this is how.

1) He has almost certainly invaded your machine. He can do this through ip address or email.

2) He hands out your ip address, email address to others of his kind. Some of them will almost certainly try to plant a backdoor or worm by which they can now try to control your machine. These zombie machines are then used in his network to further his primary purpose.

3) Some of his kind might try a scam or two. His operation is so large that he now controls thousands of zombie machines without the knowledge of the users.

4) Since online terrorism is what he revels in he will provide a list of his targets to hackers, scammers and anyone else who wants it whether he is paid or not.

5) Due to the sheer size of his crime there is almost no doubt that he is guilty of just about every cybercrime known. These are byproducts of his primary occupation and so far he has not been accused of them.

Re: Whats my line?

Hi Bob;

So have we reached a conclusion on this?

I think that is up to you.

No one has guessed his occupation which has a name. His secondary goal has been guessed but that is like saying Hitler's occupation was killing people.

Since you are the last of the guessers I will make it known to you if you want it. I will tell you privately, anonimnystefy has 10^40 - 19 guesses left and he probably intends to use them all.

Re: Whats my line?

hi bobbym

I will tell you privately

Thanks, but not yet.

If his occupation has a name (which was after all the original challenge) I'll work on it a little more.

anonimnystefy has 10^40 - 19 guesses left and he probably intends to use them all.

How big is the MIF site storage space?  smile

Re: Whats my line?

How big is the MIF site storage space?

A little less then 10^40 - 19 but that will not deter him.

If his occupation has a name

Many people might not consider it an occupation in the ordinary sense."What's my line" is better. It is his life's work that is for sure.

There sure is. I could just give you the answer. Then I would pose another picture of someone you do not know, ad infinitum.

Re: Whats my line?

Hi bobbym

That would work. Those who still want to work on this one can do it if you hide the answer, and everybody's happy.

You have 10^40 - 20 guesses left. If you can present me with a theoretical method that would definitely get the answer to the question I will tell you who and what he is.

Re: Whats my line?

Hi bobbym

Maybe not too theoretical, but since there are less people than my guesses that means that I can waste out all the occupations.
