But you said earlier that neither -2cd or 2cd was good.....
Anyway, the reason why I asked you how to find a common factor of two fractions was because of this...
But how do you know there isn't a larger factor?
Not sure what other explanation I can give ![]()
because you took the smallest number between the two and it went even in the biggest number
the biggest comon divisor
Well, I don't understand how we find a factor of two fractions, that's what xD So, I wasn't sure how dividing my two fractions by 1/6 would give me my answer to my initial question... Thank you for your help
Hi;
You need help with that division?
Why, my answer isn't correct ?
but I'm not sure of understanding what I'm doing ![]()
So.....How is it done ???
Hold on one second.
The highest common factor, also called the greatest common divisor, is a feature of whole numbers (also known as integers).
According to that, there is no HCF or GCD of 2 fractions.
Well, I forgot to specify, but it's not necesary for it to be the hcf, but any common factor of two fractions. Would your quote still be correct ???
Ugh. Bobbym, could you link me something about this ? I'm not sure of even understanding what I'm doing, looks like I'm lacking something...
Ok, so just to be sure I've understood. Like you sais bobbym, if I'm given fractions, and we ask me what is the common factors of these two fractions, my answer must be a fraction ?
Ex : 1/2 and 1/6 would have none
and 1/2 and 3/6 would be 1/2
Right ?
Could you give me also an example ???
Ok, even if they're divisible by 7, what are you trying to tell me exactly... ?
But, themselves aren't they factors? ? ( the two 7's )
Ah ok, but parallely, if I said :
I'm not sure about it, but could we say that the common factor of these two is 7 ??? Or I'm totally wrong ?
Just curiously, if the question what is the GCF of these two :
would this be the correct answer -2cd ?
Ah ok, didn't know about it! Thanks agian !
Thank you!
Hi, could you also check that :
Yes, I thought you needed to know programming to use latex ^^
Thank you again.
Hi, just wanted to do a check-up :
If had :
would this be correct :
thank you
Ah ok, thank you!
Thanks bobbym
{3^3*5^3} over {-3^2*5^2} rightarrow {-3*5} rightarrow =-15
