Guess 5: 6320
Hmm...interesting! I think I'll just have to read over the rules again to fully understand.
I also have a couple of questions:
Can a person be two roles at the same time, eg. a seer and a protector?
What if only six (or less) people are playing? Does everyone get a role or do we cut down the parts?
I think that's all for the moment. It should be great once we get started!
Nice... and you're back! Well, at least for now, anyway!
Good job! Very neat.
Oh! Um... you too!
As I walk down the dark, gloomy street, I can hear footsteps behind. I swivel my head, turning just enough to take a peek behind. It is pitch black, with no moon, and I see nothing.
More footsteps, louder, more penetrating, as if getting closer. But as I turn, once again, to check my surroundings, there is nothing there. Must be my imagination. The dark does that to you. Makes you scared of things which aren't there. A tiny movement looks like a murderer. A flashing light could be police, coming after you. A slight breeze could be a stranger's heavy breathing on your shoulder. I can still feel something coming, but don't look.
Almost there now. To my house. It's just around the corner. This time I turn, and see a flicker of movement, but too late to do anything about it. I can feel something severing all my fingers, each one a blinding, searing pain. There is nothing I can do, as I feel myself being knocked to the ground. Now an extremely heavy object pins to the ground, paralysing me from the shoulders down. I can see no sign of any other human life, just deep blackness surrounding and engulfing me. There aren't even any stars tonight, as if mocking me.
In the morning, when they find me, a young girl comes across two sheets of paper tucked into my right jacket pocket. One reads:
'The punctuation is coming.'
The other:
'I owe you 100 Australian Dollars. Signed, The Murderer.' The note ends with a lavish scrawl of a signature.
This is not the only strange thing. As I lie there, on the cold hard concrete, I am surrounded by what looks to be question marks. Five of them, made out of black hooked planks, and small round discs, circle my figure. Later, the investigators will find that one of these discs was sharply thrown and sliced off my fingers, and the hooked plank was used to hold me down on the ground. But I will never know. I am dead.
Guess 2: 8132
And even in criticism his spelling is appaling.
I've just installed it. I've been playing 'spot the differences'. There aren't many major differences - well, at least that you can see. There are some tiny changes like the spacing, highlighting and layout of the menus. With tabbed browsing, you can now drag the tabs to reorder them... I've had a few seconds of fun trying that out. That's all I've found at the moment.
Looks interesting. I think I'll wait until ganesh has replied before I post a guess.
We could have a Cow Bull winner image award too. Except it might mess up images of the Wink Murder game.
Now that jU's died so many times, I don't know whether to believe it. But her name does say winked, so either the murderer is a mod, or a mod has seen jU's death and believed it. And I don't get jU's post. What's with the 'capital letters BIG ones it just so happens that they are 10ft tall' bit?
Oh... Rod didn't die first, either. Hmm.
Is it snowing there? I like snow. I've seen it real snow only twice, in two separate years, in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Wanna be math wiz: Like mathsy already said, I'm from Australia. Yesterday was the first day of... summer! It was really hot. Except today it's raining.
mathsyperson: Writing like this is fun.
And I'm pretty sure there is someone from Japan. Where are you from?
Are you carrying forward all of the previous players? If you aren't, I'm still playing.
Antidisestablishmentarianism is popularly quoted as being a very long word and it is longer than justlooking's
My word is actually longer (29 letters). Yours only has 28.
But there are even longer (and weirder words) here.
Just watch his signature for a daily dose.
When you post, you might want to allow a little time in between your visits so everybody has a chance to read it.
Mean normally refers to the arithmetic average of a set of numbers. So if you have a set of numbers (1, 2, 2, 4, 6) then to work out the mean -
* you find the sum of those numbers, which is 15.
* since there are 5 numbers, you divide 15 by 5 to find the average or mean.
* the mean is 5.
The mode of a set of numbers is the number that has the largest amount of observations. So if you use the same set as above, the mode is 2, because is appears the most times out of the set.
Mode can also be used for sets which aren't numeric - that is, they don't use numbers. So if we had a set (pencil, eraser, ruler, ruler, pencil, ruler, sharpener, ruler) the mode would be ruler, since it appears four times.
Hope that helps.

If you want to aimlessly chat, please post in an appropriate forum i.e. the Guestbook. That way, people who actually need help can post without being covered in spam. Thanks.
Oh, and are you trying to speak in Japanese? Do you actually learn it?
Hey darthradius... nice name! And nice joke too! Welcome to the forum.
Puzzles and jokes are good! I also like conundrums and rebuses.
LOL!
There's far too many of these jokes:
Have you heard the joke about the roof?
It's over your head.
Heard the joke about the knife?
It's a killer.
Have you heard the joke about the wall?
I just can't get over it.
Do you know the riddle about the bed?
It hasn't been made yet.
Have you heard the one about the bread?
Better not tell you, it's crummy.
Have you heard the one about keeping an idiot in suspense?
I'll tell you tomorrow.
Does anybody know some more?
Did you hear the joke about the butter?
Better not tell you... it might spread.
Your ex just cheated on you... but if he's your ex, doesn't that mean he's already broken up with you?
Yay for mathsy! The champ!
Now - if only we could get you to organise the next few games so someone has the chance to catch up...
Everyone being...? Only mathsy guessed.
Obvious.
