Right. So, do you say you're allergic to things you don't want to eat, or just for no particular reason?
Hi Ross. Welcome.
On your marks ...

Neither, I'm allergic to them.
Are you allergic to dairy?
That was fun. I want some ice cream now.
A lonely, sad mistook that I came across:
How many variations will there be. (?)
That's all.
Hello. Have a good time.
It's not too confusing. The only bit some people might have a bit of trouble understanding at first glance is use of the blue and red circles at the side of each line; and what the different categories mean. Other than that, I feel it's pretty much self explanatory.
This is good, Rod!
When it says '1 to 9', did you mean use all of the numbers, e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9; or use any of the numbers in the range from 1 to 9 (and have doubled numbers)?
I chose the '1 to 9' category and was able to complete the grid, but using repeated numbers and numbers out of the range, and it still said 'Well Done' at the end. Is this a problem or not?
Through to the semi finals:
Germany vs Italy
4 July 2006 at 21:00 in Dortmund
Portugal vs France
5 July 2006 at 21:00 in Munich
Who will go through to the final?
3D Tetris was cool. But... don't the highscores get saved? I reloaded the game again and all highscores had been reset.
June 23rd, 2006: Three weeks ago I was playing in The Game. One particular challenge was a timed maze (written by Stanford students Rachel Weinstein and Frank Losasso) that we had to play on a dance pad. It took my team surprisingly long, probably because we hadn't slept for 20 hours and we had failed to notice an important rule...
Now, you can share a little bit of that experience. Start clicking and see if you can figure out the rules and solve the maze. When you win, you won't be able to reset the puzzle any more -- that's deliberate.
Of course.
Redundant.
Redundant.
June 15th, 2006: It's hard not to be tempted by parody. It will probably be a while until we can actually get online collaboration, but I was able to come up with some interesting variants of Minesweeper. You can try them out (as well as the standard game) this week:
Your puzzle, of course, is to figure out what the rules to the variants are. Shouldn't be too hard, although there are quite a few secrets to discover!
Take a close look at this horrific injury:

You'll need Flash, I think.
This game is interesting. I'm not going to post my score because it wasn't as good as ganesh's!
I agree. When you get one wrong, it should move onto the next question, because there's only two options and it's obvious which one is right. Maybe a time limited version of the game - Hall of Fame who can get the most questions in a minute? Or maybe, getting one wrong could add a few seconds to your total time?
And Australia beat Japan!
Yeah! 3-1!
sos me mum
'So is my mum', I would think.
Hello, Magi.
I didn't think it belonged in the Help Me! thread, soI came here to introduce myself, and ask this! And, um, while you answer my first question, can you please tell me where to post these kinds of questions? thnx!
Well, posting here now is perfectly fine, but in the future if you have a question about how things work ... maybe the Members Only section, or even Suggestions and Comments.
June 9th, 2006: The Google US Puzzle Championship is next Saturday, June 16th. It's used to select the US Puzzle Team, but puzzle-lovers of all sorts should find something interesting in the puzzles. Let's have a big "G" (for Google):
Here's a puzzle based on Erich Friedman's "Distance," from the 2003 Google U.S. Puzzle Championship. Label 14 of the circles above with different numbers from 1 to 14, such that the distance between 1 and 2 is less than the distance between 2 and 3, and so on. Four circles should remain empty.
Howdy partner!
What more ... ?
Maybe if we renamed the site 'Maths is Boring', kids would start liking it.

No, not really. But if you put it in Google, this forum page comes up as the first link.
Procrastination
Wikipedia says: Procrastination is the deferment or putting-off of an action or task, usually by focusing on some other distraction (compare temporisation). It is Latin for "foremorrowing," or making some such of tomorrow.
Google says:
- the act of procrastinating; putting off or delaying or defering an action to a later time
- dilatoriness: slowness as a consequence of not getting around to it
LOL
Just short for laugh out loud.
