Why? It's not too hard and it only takes 1023 moves!

e^((pi*√67)/3)=an approximate value for the number of feet in a mile.

Yay! Pointlessness!

It's far easier to decide the value of 0^0^0.

Sorry, I was being unclear.
I meant that you died first after Zach said that he knew who the murderer was.
Because of this, it was expected that Zach would be next to die as he was a threat.
But he wasn't...

#4530 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » Wink Murder » 2005-06-30 03:41:30

Zach admits that he knows, hence is the biggest threat and yet Rora died first...
Either the murderer hasn't read this board in a while, which I doubt, or... something.

Someone guess! The murderer's finding it far too easy!

#4531 Re: Help Me ! » Take the challenge..... » 2005-06-30 03:08:29

I feel really stupid now. I didn't read the question properly at all!
Oh well, at least that happened here instead of in an exam...

P.S. Brilliant avatar!

#4532 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » Wink Murder » 2005-06-29 06:58:22

If that's true, then you are the murderer's biggest threat and so will almost certainly be their next target.

The golden mean is a ratio that the 'perfect rectangle' has sides of. This is the rectangle that most people agree looks nicest.
Also, if you stick a square on the long side of the perfect rectangle, then it retains its proportions, just switches from portrait to landscape or vice versa. If the perfect rectangle has a width of 1, then its length would be the golden mean.

The golden mean can be approximated by dividing one number in the fibonacci sequence by the one before it, with the estimate growing more accurate as you get to higher fibonacci numbers.

The golden mean is represented by the greek letter Phi.
Finally, the golden mean is worked out by (√5+1)/2.

I heard justlookingforthemoment's version, but after he's escaped, he shouts until his voice is hoarse and rides away!

MathsIsFun may have run out of time, but he did show everyone an important pattern.
With n people, the number of handshakes would be the (n-1)th triangular number.

This means that with 91 people, there would be the 90th triangular number of handshakes, which is

(90*91)/2=4095 handshakes.

I agree. There isn't really any good way to measure intelligence.
I don't think that IQ is a good indication either, because it is measured with aptitude tests which only really test your logic.

i did know that or haven't you been around long enough to understand. Just ask Rora about my comment and she will explain all

Sorry, I'm newer than most people here. I've been browsing through old topics though so I now understand that you did get it but you just say that repeatedly so that everyone can know who you are without having to look slightly to the left.
On a side note, I agree with Stewie about your avatar.

Bars are normally rather hard. Walking into one would usually hurt sufficently enough to induce an exclamation such as aaaaaa.

#4540 Re: This is Cool » Pick any five... » 2005-06-28 04:11:54

You have to go incredibly far to get it accurate though.

I went to the 65536th term (filling an Excel column) and it comes to 3.141577..., meaning it's still only good to 4 decimal places!

I think NIH might have had a typo when telling us the second one...

I guess 'bored', but I'm as clueless as you.

√4=±2.
Because 2² and (-2)² both=4

θ is indeed a greek letter called theta, usually used in maths for angles.

Also, could you explain how you inversed the matrices?

I have no imagination at the moment...

1  10  9
2  9    7
3  8    5
4  7    3
5  6    1
         --
         25

I'm annoyed at this because at a glance it seems easy to prove how it works, but on closer inspection it's not at all!
That or I'm being dumb...
