Hey dudney, this is a forum, not instant chat. Wait a bit, then come back and see who has replied.

Welcome to the forum.

Okay. I think this game's been going long enough. And my guess has been confirmed.

I guess you, Zach!

Hey, unique. Welcome, and have fun.

#379 Re: Guestbook » Guess the Guest! » 2006-10-04 20:04:48

Have we started?Q

Hmm. Can guests post in Dark Discussions? Maybe the guest's having trouble posting. Should this thread be moved somewhere else or just create a new thread in a different forum?

jimohrazag, the square root of zero is zero.

0 x 0 = 0

#381 Re: This is Cool » What's so special about that number? » 2006-10-03 20:28:59

I have a book like this, though it only goes to 100.

It's called 'Adam's Spencer's Book of Numbers'. I think I won it or something.

It has many mathematical facts for each number, and some random facts too, like

10
The average life of a human tastebud is 10 days, and much less if it comes into contact with my cooking.

Sure, siva.eas. I'd forgotten you requested to play last last time, and we never got around to it. Sorry.

There's a tally here, post #28 which goes up to Wink Murder 5.

I think I know the murderer, but I'll wait to confirm my guess (and let the game actually go for longer, this time!).

Edited so that Patrick is the witness instead of Devanté. It's the accused that can't be the murderer anymore, not the accuser!

Yes, that might work, but I don't think the main page should be too long and cluttered. The page is a good length at the moment. Some of the uncommon categories might become unused.

But then people will just sign up and spam. It's not just guests that spam, you know.

Aw, game over. Too bad.

Yeah, I mucked up in saying that you guys die. You don't actually die, you just can't guess again. Mathsy's right.

Devanté wrote:

But if you've already guessed and are wrong, what's the point in being alive. It renders you a sitting duck.

That's what's meant to stop people guessing so early on in the game!

#393 Re: Guestbook » Guess the Guest! » 2006-10-01 14:22:25

Okay, I'll play. smile

I don't understand the points system, or who (one person, everyone?) posts as a guest, but I'm sure it will become clearer once we start.

Looks like we'll have the same people playing as Wink Murder.

#394 Re: Exercises » About the Exercises » 2006-09-30 23:16:18

Oh, too bad there's no alpha sorting.

And yes, I agree that the amount of threads is a bit overwhelming.

We could group topics with minor differences (e.g. Calculating Pay with Whole Numbers/Decimals) together; or we could put all algebra together, all trigonometry together, all graphs together etc.

#396 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » Wink Murder 8 » 2006-09-30 20:15:15

You guys have got it all wrong! You're dead now, so don't talk! Zombies can't speak.

Ha ha, you guys are dead and I'm alive! *dances*

Alive. Alive!

Now, if only I could figure out the murderer. Well, it could be ... but no ... wait a minute ... it has to be ...

creaking noises

Hello? Anyone there? Is that you, mathsyperson? Helloooo?

Hmm. I don't think there's anyone there. I'll just finish this post and then ...

Mwahahahahahah! I will kill you. The first death of Wink Murder 8. The FIRST!

What? I can hear voices, but there's no one there! How can someone kill me if there's no one there?

Just keep going on with your post. Don't worry.

Hey, I have email. Click. Attachment downloaded. Open. How nice! A birthday e-card. But ... it's not my birthday. Check sender: spammityspamspamspam@junk.com. Who? An unknown sender ... oh no ...

My laptop explodes. My eyes pop out; my head flops; both my shoulders get dislocated and my ears turned inside out. My heart stops.

Long into the night, the e-card continually plays its repetitive tune, with lyrics:

Meh, you're dead.
Meh, you're dead.
Meh, meh, meh!
Meh, you're dead.

Rod, I see that the Formulas forum is sorted alphabetically by post title.

Would it be possible (and useful) to sort this forum in the same way, to ease searching?
