### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Being nervous, I guarantee it.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.
All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.

Because not all the pressure is on me to think of something to say

The pressure you speak of is not lasting. There are differing opinions as to why.

But won't there be a lot of pressure in the first few times we talk?

Yes, but only because you are unsure of yourself.

I did feel more relaxed with adriana after a while. It will probably be the same with Katrina, too. I do want to meet her -- I feel that it'd be more promising than being with M.

How is your back, by the way?

Horrible, I came hope from shopping lurching like Frankenstein's monster. The parents pull their kids in when they see me coming.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Yes, I could but it is twice the price. The paper that I can order from only has the name brands and only from the most expensive store in the neighborhood. So, I brace my back up and trudge down the block...

America is a land of the young. No one helps anyone else. Old people are treated like decayed dog food. Not that I am complaining, I had my time plus a little more.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Are there any shops that are closer than that?

I have decided not to go to my mentor's (M's) meetings anymore. I do have a legitimate excuse -- I've been trying to enrol for some extra modules, and they clash with the timeslot she's placed. They give us 8 modules for first years, that are compulsory: Analysis 1+2, Algebra 1+2, Methods 1+2, Applied Maths + Newtonian Mechanics. I've chosen a few extra because they sound interesting: Number Theory (2nd year), History of Mathematics (3rd year), General Relativity and Cosmology (4th year), Methods 5 (3rd year). I would do the computational maths module too, but it says you need to know Python and some C++, and I don't know either... so I guess I can't do that.

But of course, it's also kind of a test to see if she'd be willing to change the timeslot, just for me.

That is the closest one. I do enjoy the walk, I get to see many weird people.

There computational maths course is a bit outdated but you could learn python quickly.

She might change it, it his her responsibilty.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I tape it up tight and wear a back supporter. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.

I believe that any course that any computational - numerical course that does not expose the student to a CAS early is not correct.
It would be like training architects by going out and teaching them how to make bricks from clay.

You mean like the ones athletes use?

Hmm... they get us to use Mathematica to solve some of the problems they give us. There is a list of courses available at:

w ww . ucl . ac . uk / maths / courses / undergraduates (remove spaces)

The computing ones are all second year and beyond.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Exercises are tricky. I never was very flexible and stretching is out. The walking helps to keep my weight down. I pretty much take a chance with any type of motion triggering a spasm. Those are extremely painful.

Maple is in some ways better but not in others.
