Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThe waiting. When they do not get a reaction then they move on figuring you do not like them. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12202 20131003 22:46:00
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaDo you think my reaction (asking for her number) was enough? #12203 20131004 00:22:50
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaDo you want to see her? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12204 20131004 00:28:02#12205 20131004 00:31:24
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThat does not sound too urgent. You can text her or wait for her to appear. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12206 20131004 00:33:04
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThere is still my mentor (who is basically my age) who I am seeing tomorrow morning to discuss the problem sheets. She might be annoyed at me though, because I told her I found someone else who would give me their firstyear books for free. #12207 20131004 00:35:57
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThat should not be a problem. Did any of these mention a bf at all? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12208 20131004 00:36:25#12209 20131004 00:40:12
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThen pick one and move on her. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12210 20131004 00:44:25#12211 20131004 00:47:30
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou will still have to pick one first. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12212 20131004 00:48:53
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI don't know, it is hard to say who I am more likely to have success with. #12213 20131004 00:51:09
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou will still have to pick one first to ask. That is unless you are not interested. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12214 20131004 01:50:11
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIt is really hard to say. With my mentor we still have the 'studentteacher' dynamic with I assuming the role of the student and that might not be easy to break. With the other girl, however, there is no barrier; we are on level terms. #12215 20131004 01:52:51
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaNone of that really counts. The student teacher dynamic is a powerful one. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12216 20131004 02:01:30
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaBut if she's the teacher then how can that be a good dynamic for me? #12217 20131004 02:07:13
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHmmm, you might just find that out for yourself. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12218 20131004 02:10:35
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaShe did say she wanted to be a teacher when she finished her degree, though. So did the other girl. Interesting. #12219 20131004 02:13:38
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWhat are they really, teachers, mathematicians or girls? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12220 20131004 02:16:21#12221 20131004 02:24:45
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaMathematician is a title. It is man made. If we threw you and her into the jungle she would cease being one. It has no meaning other then the one society gives it. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12222 20131004 03:43:01
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI need to get a lot closer to her to overcome those barriers... #12223 20131004 03:51:13
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWhat barriers? You can just allow her to maneuver you where she wants to.
Most people would agree I am hardly good at anything. They are correct. But if there is one thing in this world I hate it is the axiomatic approach to math. So, I would have to say no. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12224 20131004 04:00:45
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWell, I get to see my mentor tomorrow at 11 AM. We will see what happens... #12225 20131004 04:08:28
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou can post them in Help Me. Some other people like that way of doing math. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.
