Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I can't see myself having most of those things for another decade! A sports car, maybe I can afford that when I turn 50 and save relentlessly.

I just did some calculations and it turns out that actually I shouldn't struggle at all living on UCL's campus -- very strange. The rent appears high but it does not have as much of an effect as I thought. I still think it is overpriced though considering it is not in that great a location.

When I say "shouldn't struggle at all" -- I mean that the loan they give me they cover it. Of course, I will still be in debt. But the burden got lighter.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

50! The biggest loser I ever knew drove nothing but vintage Mustangs and other 60's muscle cars. He just had to stop the car and honk the horn and one of them would always get in. He was 24.

Good news about your accomodations.

See girls are easy to understand, this is how they reason.

Looks rich - He must be superior.
Nice car - He must be superior
Bad boy - He must be superior
Drummer - He must be superior
Athlete - He must be superior
Powerful - He must be superior
Playboy - He must be superior
Says no - He must be superior
Does not care what other people think - He must be superior
Mean - He must be superior
Tough - He must be superior
Overconfident - He must be superior
No confidence - An undesirable jerk.

It is that simple.

Girls like to test you. To see what you will let them get away with. It does not really matter what they ask for, they will just ask. They respect a firm no. A no that does not give in no matter how hard they try.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

What is a bad boy, again?

By the way, is this a personal thread.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

A bad boy is a guy who treats his gf's very badly. His behavior is bad. He is troublesome and math. In other words he is the worst possible choice for them which makes them want him even more.

My rule is this: The OP has the right to direct the thread and I will not intervene. If he wants it to become a chat thread I will let him have his way. If he complains because others are doing it I will tighten up the thread.

Do you mean you can make it so only a few people can post in a thread?

No, I just will ask everyone and stop myself from chatting in that thread. That way there are no arguments. Th OP has a bit more rights in his threads.

Do you agree that the bad boy concept is paradoxical?

No, it makes perfect sense when you think about the way people are.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Sounds like a mean idea.

I would better keep myself off this thread

It is tailored for zetafunc who is a couple of years older and is heading to University. We talk about some good math in here too.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Yeah I'm starting on Sept 23rd, but moving in on the 21st. Hoping I won't be charged a week's rent just for staying there for 2 days...

They should pro rate it. Are you excited?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Pro rate it? What do you mean?

A little bit, still have to buy some things though. It feels fun to go shopping for all this stuff, it's like going on a camping trip or something.

The fun will start on the 23rd.

Pro rate - charge you for 2 days instead of a week.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I hope so... at £147 per week it divides nicely into £21 per day. Does rent normally work that way?

Who knows, I may hate it. But the good thing is that nobody knows who I am, so I could create my own personality if I wanted...

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Rent does normally work exactly like that so be prepared to argue if you get charged more.

Easy to create a different persona.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Will do. I still don't know how the payment will work though. Hopefully they'll just take it from my account automatically...

Well, I look a bit different to how I did 6 months ago. But whether or not a new persona is needed is a question I have about 2 weeks to answer!

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

For some reason I wanted to eat more so I gained around 10 lbs. I don't look fat, just a bit 'thicker', as if I've filled out a bit. I can't really be described as skinny anymore, my weight is pretty much average. Currently at about 5'7 and 136 lbs. Don't know if it is a good thing though.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I feel about the same, but unfortunately my clothes are a bit too tight now, parents said I look like I just shopped in the kids section...
