Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYes, it does sound friendly. But who knows what they are thinking. See you later. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11977 20130816 18:16:40
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIt is hard to tell over an email. Still not 100% certain if ignoring it is the best option. #11978 20130816 23:38:30
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaOf course it is not. Unless you are Cortez, it is never a good idea to burn your bridges. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11979 20130816 23:39:39#11980 20130816 23:42:32
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaTell her about how you did. She asked about Step, tell her. She also asked about your vacation... In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11981 20130817 03:06:32
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaBut isn't she just emailing me so she can boast about getting into Oxford? #11982 20130817 03:23:53
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThat is an assumption on your part. There are really two types of guys concerning them. The first, listens to what they say, and the second does not. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11983 20130817 03:30:55
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI think it is a correct assumption... I did try to up the ante a little bit when we were talking several months ago but when it got more personal suddenly she stops replying for a long while. With Adriana the opposite happened. #11984 20130817 03:40:14
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSo you have an easy fix that is better than your solution. Talk personal to her again. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11985 20130817 05:13:00
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaOkay, then another round of 'truth or dare' it is... #11986 20130817 05:15:08
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou are on your way. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWell, what are you waiting for? Get in there and be aggressive. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11989 20130817 21:42:08
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI'll give it a couple of days to think about the best approach... #11990 20130817 21:57:57
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula
That was a command from Zeus to Hercules to tell him to stop waiting around and get to the job. What would ole Zeus say when he heard you were delaying? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11991 20130818 20:02:36
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHannah says she got 3,3,2 in STEP. Given that Hannah is the stronger mathematician, I shudder to think of what happened to adriana. #11992 20130818 20:11:47
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaShe got what she deserved don't you think? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11993 20130818 20:33:15#11994 20130818 20:34:51
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaAdrianna. Looks like the college girls that homework guy encountered were somewhat smarter. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11995 20130818 20:44:51
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI don't know how adriana did. Hannah didn't have to sit STEP, she did it for fun. Adriana prepared for it, so it's possible that she did better. She needs a 2 in any STEP paper to get into Warwick, I would be surprised if she didn't get that in STEP I. Then again, the grade boundaries were pretty harsh this year... I have a copy of the STEP III paper now and it still doesn't look any easier than it did when I first looked at it. #11996 20130818 22:34:17
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaMaybe she will tell you. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11997 20130818 23:15:53
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIf I had to guess, I'd say she failed STEP. The previous exam season, and minutes after each of us had finished the STEP paper, she'd text me or email me asking about how I found it, how I did, etc. whereas this time, nothing (results day was on the 15th). In my opinion, the fact that she said nothing would indicate that she is ashamed of her poor performance. It was a bit of a shock that Hannah contacted me after over 4 months considering the grades she got in STEP. All I remember is that Adriana before she went on holiday said that Hannah wanted us all to go bowling, but I declined. A bit unusual considering Adriana admitted to me she doesn't really know Hannah. #11998 20130818 23:21:46
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWhy did you decline? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11999 20130818 23:32:35
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI didn't feel like seeing adriana again. Not to mention that I hate bowling. But the first reason is far more important. #12000 20130818 23:36:03
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHannah was okay with this? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.
