Maybe the girls at UCL will convince me, who knows?

Oh, do not worry. There is at least one that is lurking somewhere, sly and irresistible. She will see you as the challenge of her lifetime. The bronco she must tame and control. Then she will slyly approach you, at the same time making you think it was your idea. At the precise distance known only to them she will release just a few molecules of a substance that you will pick up on immediately...

All of them, yes. Some are so subtle at it that it seems to be the other way around.

It will seem that way but she is the one that does the initiating. She sets the situation that you exploit up. If you only believed that your confidence would soar.

I still need to experience it to believe it...

Just got my STEP results. S,1,1. That would have been good enough to meet my Cambridge offer, had I got one... oh well. I'm very happy though. A-level results come tomorrow.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I definitely did with H and that other girl. Oddly, I have had no success at all approaching women, but some when they approach me.

Thanks. Surprise surprise, Hannah sent me an e-mail, after 4 months. I'm not replying -- reason being, the only reason she e-mailed me on results day is to likely brag about her results to someone else, and I'd rather not talk to someone who just wants to use me as a backboard.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I am pretty sure they are, but then, why bother talking to her at all? She seems pretty arrogant, and there isn't anything I can gain from conversing with her any further. Nothing good would come from a bragging battle here, seems like a waste of energy...

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Well, she goes to one of those posh grammar schools in which a lot of students achieve all A* grades at A-level. However, I do think I beat her, yes -- particularly in STEP. But the point is not whether or not mine are better or worse than hers, but rather, what the point of responding to her is.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

She's a fairly good looking blonde but talking to her is a pain -- ignoring her it is.

I am a little sad that my friends, who got offers from UCL, all failed to meet the grade requirements. I will go there not knowing anyone. Not that that is a bad thing, but it would have been nice to have known someone there beforehand.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I do but I don't think this one can serve that purpose. She is also going to Oxford next year, which is at least 60-70 miles from me. If I am to start allocating Trudys and Helgas, they should be closer in proximity.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

That is your choice but the 60 - 70 miles is not a barrier to a FWB type relationship. You are still thinking in terms of a commitment type of realtionship. You are confused, you have said you do not want one. Girls in close proximity mean more commitment. Girls further away are more than willing to make the trip because they want the freedom that only distance can provide. Why do you think the other one has bf's that are thousands of miles away?

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Maybe I was being too harsh. This was her exact e-mail (which followed a 4 month silence):

"Hey zetafunc! It's been ages. How have you been? How was STEP? Hope everything's worked out how it should've and you're enjoying summer "

Sounds friendly but I still think my analysis isn't wrong-footed.
