Mr C. may have found something a little closer to home.

Sounds good. Then if adriana found out, she will want to have her revenge against him and get with me instead...

...and then I woke up.

A little positive thinking can go a long way.

Yes but I have to be realistic too.

Confidence means expecting something to happen. Believing it will happen. You will need a little more of that.

Why is she talking to you. She must want something?

Hmmmm, did you ask her?

No, but we have only really been talking about exams (we share two more exams together -- STEP I and III). She texted me right after STEP II asking how it went.

Seems like she would like a little support from you. They are generally quite wimpy if you remember the bug story.

Bug story?

Well, the 26th will be the last exam. We will see just how much she really cares about me once there is nothing more for me to help her with.

I was walking with her to get something to eat. It was late at night and we were alone on the avenue. Suddenly I see it coming. It was hideous, frightening beyond belief, a true monstrosity of nature. It was a beetle about 3 - 4 inches long. Largest I have ever seen in Vegas. I could see the hairs on its legs and this thing was not backing down either. It was heading straight for us. I tried to veer her into the street hoping she would not see it. Of course she did and you know what she did?

Yep, she fainted. Went totally comatose on me. If I did not grab her she would have hit the ground hard. Just as I said, wimps!

Ugh, I hate bugs... I'm allergic to bees. Fainting seems like an extreme reaction though. I showed adriana a picture of one and she literally cowered away from the screen and told me to shut the laptop.

I've never seen a beetle that big... well, except in my home country. You killed it?

Of course not, I had to give her emergency first aid.

Was she okay?

Just sat STEP I... got 6 solutions in 90 minutes, I was thinking, what the heck?! Either I counted wrong or I must have the wrong time. But no... it couldn't be that easy, it never is. I spent the last 90 minutes just checking, polishing, etc...

Either I have done very well or I have made some idiotic blunder. I hope it's not the latter...

Good job! What did the others say about it?

Thanks! I'm not sure, I was the only one in my school doing it, and nobody is discussing it online until 24 hours have passed. adriana will probably e-mail me later either gloating or sobbing (it really is either one or the other with her).

adriana only needs a 2 in STEP to get into Warwick. I will be shocked if she tells me she couldn't complete 3 questions.

You just never know. She may have fainted.

Could be. Just think of the horror of an ant making its way on to her STEP paper.
