Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaMr C. may have found something a little closer to home. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11527 20130624 07:12:25
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSounds good. Then if adriana found out, she will want to have her revenge against him and get with me instead... #11528 20130624 07:18:26
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaDreams do sometimes come true. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI have learned that in the dating world, they tend not to... #11530 20130624 07:27:30
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaA little positive thinking can go a long way. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaConfidence means expecting something to happen. Believing it will happen. You will need a little more of that. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11533 20130624 07:40:19
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI expect a girl to come along later on. I do not expect this hot potato to let me at her... #11534 20130624 07:52:15
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWhy is she talking to you. She must want something? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHmmmm, did you ask her? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11537 20130624 17:27:38
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaNo, but we have only really been talking about exams (we share two more exams together STEP I and III). She texted me right after STEP II asking how it went. #11538 20130624 17:34:44
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSeems like she would like a little support from you. They are generally quite wimpy if you remember the bug story. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11539 20130624 17:35:44
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaBug story? #11540 20130624 17:41:22
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI was walking with her to get something to eat. It was late at night and we were alone on the avenue. Suddenly I see it coming. It was hideous, frightening beyond belief, a true monstrosity of nature. It was a beetle about 3 4 inches long. Largest I have ever seen in Vegas. I could see the hairs on its legs and this thing was not backing down either. It was heading straight for us. I tried to veer her into the street hoping she would not see it. Of course she did and you know what she did? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11541 20130625 00:50:39
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaUgh, I hate bugs... I'm allergic to bees. Fainting seems like an extreme reaction though. I showed adriana a picture of one and she literally cowered away from the screen and told me to shut the laptop. #11542 20130625 00:52:18
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaOf course not, I had to give her emergency first aid. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11543 20130625 22:54:05
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWas she okay? #11544 20130625 22:58:21
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaGood job! What did the others say about it? The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “Taking a new step, uttering a new word, is what people fear most.” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Crime and Punishment #11545 20130625 23:00:49
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaShe was after my emergency first aid. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11546 20130625 23:02:10
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThanks! I'm not sure, I was the only one in my school doing it, and nobody is discussing it online until 24 hours have passed. adriana will probably email me later either gloating or sobbing (it really is either one or the other with her). #11547 20130625 23:03:33
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI am going to go with sobbing... In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11548 20130625 23:07:03
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formulaadriana only needs a 2 in STEP to get into Warwick. I will be shocked if she tells me she couldn't complete 3 questions. #11549 20130625 23:08:40
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou just never know. She may have fainted. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11550 20130625 23:09:58
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaCould be. Just think of the horror of an ant making its way on to her STEP paper.
