In hindsight I should have, as you said, charged adriana for the tuition.

If you are no longer interested in her you should tell her to quit crying. Tell her to stop moaning about her lack of a future. The world needs lots of cheap labor too.

**I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.**

Maybe I should just stop talking to her completely. There is literally no point in me knowing her any longer. If she actually knew anything about mathematics instead of being an exam paper-bot, then I could learn something.

Then drop her like a hot potato.

Okay, I will...

Do you remember Hanh? She was the one who likes me (she hasn't told me directly but I am 99% sure of it). She was also the weird one who hates hugs and any kind of physical contact, and wanted to wait for marriage before having any kind of intimacy. She asked me if I wanted to go to the beach with her and her friends, but I told her that I'd probably be going on holiday.

Did you want to go? Maybe one of her friends is better?

I don't really feel like going...

Then do not. I do not like the beach either.

You should see what we have over here, it is really stretching the definition of 'beach'...

Good or bad? You are an island, should have lots of coastline.

Most are the pebbly kind, which I hate. There are some good beaches over here though... I imagine that the ones near you might be nice, although you'd have to travel through California?

We only have Lake Mead. This is a land locked desert.

Travelling outside of Nevada I meant.

Besides from the beaches at Lake Mead about 30 miles away. I would have to go to California 250+ miles away to see the ocean.

Hmm, I was not aware it was that far.

California is a big state, so is Nevada.

Never been to the US. I have to visit sometime... a whole continent I have never explored. Have you ever been to the UK?

adriana said she is sorry for her whining and that I am the most brilliant mathematician she has ever met. Erm... great. Not sure why she said that. Whenever we get into a debate or an argument she always seems to be on the defensive side and apologise.

I have never been to the UK. My sister has been there many times and likes it. I do not wish to go because of the difficulties in learning the language.

So she says you are the greatest. Did you say something?

Hmm, that depends on where you go in the UK. Scottish people speak English and I still have no clue what they are saying half the time.

My last reply to her was a bit of a lecture on how failing an exam isn't the end of the world, to sum it up in a sentence.

I agree. She will make a good waitress.

Yes with those grades she will be lucky to work as one.

Yeah, it was that sort of thing I was trying to tell her (that she won't end up being a failure/loser just for failing STEP). I sort of used to be the same to be honest but I've changed a bit. Whenever she goes into one of those moods I feel as though it's her former depression coming out again. (And 'former' may not even be the correct word choice...)

Sounds like she may need some comforting.

I am sure her BF can provide that.
