I have heard of him and the book you are talking about.

I have a chore, see you later.

I think he's the youngest winner of each of the IMO medals, won a Fields medal too.

24 days since I've heard from adriana. Only 2 days to go until the record is broken!

That is morbid. I have not seen that book yet.

Have to do a chore, see you later.

Hi;

Looks like this will be a busy day. Have an appointment in the afternoon. What happened for you?

Not much, had to go into school for a bit, trying to memorise my lines for the presentation...

Oh okay, how are you coming along with that?

I have got the first 600 words memorised out of 2000 or so... shouldn't have left it so late.

I want to buy refreshments so people aren't too bored (the school said I might get reimbursed the money). I was thinking of buying apples (Newton) and Leibniz biscuits...

Biscuits? I do not know that one. Why the biscuits?

The biscuits are called Choco-Leibniz biscuits which were named after Gottfried Leibniz.

In modern times? Or earlier?

They were produced in 1891, long after Leibniz's death. But the company, Bahlsen, are based in Hanover, so they named them Choco-Leibniz biscuits because Leibniz was one of the more famous residents of Hanover. They are common over here, albeit expensive, and you only get 8 of them in a packet. Very tasty though, I'm sure PJ will love them. (She said the only thing she knows about Newton and Leibniz are apples and biscuits, respectively...)

I did not know that. I have never seen them over here.

Time for the appointment, see you later. I could use some of those biscuits.

That was grueling. I do think that people are getting more aggressive by the day.

I do not know. Seems to run in cycles. Or maybe the older I get the less they think they need to be polite to me.

What was it an appointment for? The dentist?

Did the presentation an hour ago. I personally think I didn't perform well, I improvised the whole thing thanks to forgetting my lines... but I was shocked. Everyone loved it. People said it inspired them. I heard people discussing who they thought invented calculus. I thought only 3-5 people would turn up. When I got there there was a queue of like 20 people saying they were waiting for a maths lecture. They gobbled up all my refreshments. And no one asked any hard questions!

Complex Manager of the place I am living in. He was snotty and superior.

I am glad your presentation went well.

I personally think I didn't perform well,

Sometimes negative thoughts like that are untrue.

A young guy?

I paused for almost 10-15 seconds in the beginning -- I forgot my lines completely so I made some stuff up on the spot and just spouted stuff I knew about Leibniz or Newton. I don't understand how I can be a good public speaker... I won awards for it and I don't even know how, it sounds rubbish to me.

About 40 and new.

Maybe you should fire that critic that you trust so much?

I hate those snobby types... they really drain the happiness out of the room. PJ's parents are like that apparently.

I don't know. That critic has helped me too.
