Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

A tutorial?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

A group of about ten students where you discuss problems that were posed that week.

Mathsy? Girls like it when you talk anything to them. A good talker will always do well.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Not that the math is not interesting but girls like the alpha male. For all that baloney about liberation, they still want a guy to take charge. They want the leader of the pack.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Seems to be true for the girls I have encountered. H outright said that she wanted me to dictate more. Strangely she said exactly what she wanted in full.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

It's not in my nature but I guess it comes with practice.

I saw Holly on the way to school today, we talked for a bit. First time we've walked to school together -- unfortunately we were only 5 minutes away from the school when we found each other. Next time I'll leave earlier.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

It had better become your nature very quickly. It is a jungle out there and it is kill or be killed. There are guys like homework guy and me roaming around looking for the next ex girlfriend. We play rough, we play dirty and we play to win.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Yeah, that's what I think about Holly. She's pretty good-looking so I imagine a lot of guys hit on her -- and a couple of guys in my class even said she was, too, although they're not confident enough to talk to her. But if I don't get her someone else will.

Kind of annoying that she's a bit taller than me though

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Still, feels sort of strange when she's wearing big shoes and I'm wearing shorter shoes, I can end up looking upwards at her. Not as bad as it was with C though.

So far, there has been more good than bad in our interactions -- that's a good sign. Maybe it will lead to something.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Could be, then again it might be the start of nothing. Once you identify a target it is up to you to bring it down. Like the Tiger, if he does not kill, he does not eat. Like the STEP exams you will not accept defeat.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I'm trying not to put all my eggs in one basket. There is still Katie, maybe even R too in addition to Holly.

I told Katie that I want to meet up with her, and she's told me when she is going on holiday and asked if it's okay if we can meet afterwards. But she asked me what I want to do/where I want to go with her. I'm not sure what to say...

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Unless you are the legendary Casanova you will have to limit how many to a number that you can deal with.

You told her you want to meet. You had no ideas in your head?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Well, if we consider all the girls I know at the moment, we have

Holly
Katie
R
adriana
PJ
Hanh
Hannah

adriana is not up for consideration anymore. Hannah stopped e-mailing me, and Hanh seems to have depression/mental issues that I don't really want to get involved in. So that shortens it to

Holly
Katie
R
PJ

From past experiences, it's clear that I'm much more likely to fail than succeed, but obviously with a larger sample size I've got a greater probability of getting at least 1 success. Then, if I fail with all of them, it's a good thing, as that's out of the way and I can focus my efforts elsewhere. If I succeed with more than 1 of them, then I can pick which one I want to be with.

As for meeting with Katie, I'm not sure. I thought about just asking to go to her house but that's not very exciting -- she did tell me she loves cuddling on the sofa watching a documentary more than wild partying though.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I do not know what you will pick but the sofa and a good documentary ( one without any physicists, biologists, zoologist, geneticists or topologists ) would be my pick every time.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Katie likes David Attenborough documentaries, that is good. And she is a mathematician, not any of the other types you mentioned... I do know that she's pretty well off though, I just hope that her parents aren't stuck up or something. She also has a sister two years younger than her, just like adriana did.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

How come?

For some reason a lot of the girls I know seem to be very well-off. This is not usually the case, although in England you obviously have very rich areas and some much poorer areas.
