Perhaps in the Enquirer but in reality?

You will fall into one of the groups we already discussed and do okay.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

For some people, in their early twenties. For the rest 18 - 20.

Hmm, then it looks like it all starts here... hoping there are some girls in my tutorial group at UCL. (Where they discuss the maths problems from the lectures that week.)

Are you serious, of course there will be. You will, either by accident or by design mold yourself into something that they want.

If I fit into a certain category, doesn't that mean I will attract a certain type of girl? The ones I have attracted so far have been

(a) Overly crazy -- winded up in a mental hospital
(b) Overly confused -- has a LDR with a guy in Cyprus yet claims to prefer exclusively women
(c) Overly depressed -- is constantly unhappy, has a racist family and is racist herself

Maybe I have already been categorised as a 'type'...

Nope, I was rejected by Cambridge -- for a reason my school found very controversial. I am going to UCL instead, and then maybe go there for my Masters degree instead.

Knowing her does mean she won't be put out of my mind; but I agree, nothing good really comes from talking to her anymore. I wonder if she's told her BF about me at all. Some of the stuff she used to say to me, you'd think that I was her BF! Oh well, I failed this time, but I will get another opportunity at some point, probably.

So you applied? What is needed to apply and what are their conditions?

Yes, I applied in September-ish. For Cambridge? I'm not really sure what their criteria is for international students, although their criteria tends to be either A*AA + A*A*A at A-level, including a 1,1 in STEP II and III. But it really depends, sometimes the offers differ. I have seen someone get an S,S offer in STEP. If you don't do A-levels in your country, they might ask you to get the equivalent in the qualifications you do (from what I have seen, they will tend to ask for the highest possible grade in the international qualifications, like they do with Scottish highers).

Well, that has been the case for me so far, too...

adriana hasn't said anything for 5 days. She went on YouTube yesterday though to look at some comedy video. I just feel silly just being dragged along like garbage now. I wonder if I should just never contact her again, it might be fun to watch her panic and spam me with e-mails of "Are you OK?", "Please talk to me", blah blah blah.

What, maths? I don't think her 'passion for maths' is all that sincere. And the STEP solutions she can easily find online, most of them are easy to comprehend apart from ones about currants and cakes.
