Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWhy are they unfounded? She seems more distant as a result of meeting up with her BF again, just feels like I missed my only chance. #10177 20130417 01:32:46
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaOkay, so you should allow her to use you for homework help for nothing? Tutoring costs. If she were a friend that might be different. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10178 20130417 02:04:28
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIt is not homework, she does not need my help for that. She is a maths tutor herself. She does very well in school... I don't know if I can charge money, it's just not the sort of position I'm in, and I'm no master of STEP either. There must be something else I can do... #10179 20130417 02:08:01
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThen if she can do her own math and does not like you what the heck do you two have in common? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10180 20130417 02:16:52
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThe only maths she knows is the stuff she is taught in school, whereas a lot of the maths I know I had to teach myself. She likes it when I talk about it; she doesn't need to learn it for any reason, she just finds some of it interesting. As for things in common, well, we both like maths I guess... #10181 20130417 02:25:05
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI found this from almost 3 months ago: #10182 20130417 02:27:26
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI did mention that a few times. I am afraid that if you can not even get her to offer something for your help then you are totally dead. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10183 20130417 02:33:28
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI got to put my arm around her and eat her Mum's cooking, that was something... #10184 20130417 02:38:27
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaBut how is that going to happen again if you can not convince her to barter? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10185 20130417 02:41:22
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaPersonally I think I could easily do that again, it's not too difficult being close to her. More than hugging her I think that would be difficult. #10186 20130417 02:51:29
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou are not following me, she is not writing you unless she needs something. How long has it been already from the last email? As soon as she is done she is gone for days or weeks. If you can not play the part of Homework guy then you are dead. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10187 20130417 02:57:00
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula3 days so far. #10188 20130417 03:02:30
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWell if you phrase it like that you make it sound like something illegal. I am not proposing blackmail here. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10189 20130417 03:09:31
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaOkay, I will try but getting her to say that phrase will be difficult (she has never said that actually). #10190 20130417 03:14:34
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaListen, she understands that when a guy is helping her he expects something in return. Where has she been? On Mars. They know that when guys even talk to them it is because they are interested in them and vice versa. This is not news to her. There is no such thing in any guys mind as a platonic friendship. You are not interested in just being a friend are you? You want more, she knows that and knows how to handle it. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10191 20130417 03:32:25
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWell, I kind of had a plan before that I could get her to break up with her BF using the "I'm right on your doorstep" argument, but I do not know if that will work now. Since Cyprus she has not made any overtures at all... #10192 20130417 03:47:00
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaPicking a girl that has a bf is a losing proposition. The more you try to break them up the closer they are going to get. The key here is always the same thing. Drop her. Do answer emails, maybe 1 per week. Do not have any time for her. Let her know you have moved on and really mean it. If you have a chance it is right there. If not , then you have already moved on. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10193 20130417 04:32:47
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHmm, I guess I could do that, it will be very hard though. We've also moved to instant chatting rather than email... #10194 20130417 04:49:17
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIf you are satisfied with what is occurring then do not do anything. You will have to decide. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10195 20130417 04:56:21#10196 20130417 05:05:59
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou can usually lighten the load of anything bad by dumping excess weight. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10197 20130417 05:07:19
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaBut what do I have to lose by keeping in touch with her? #10198 20130417 05:15:12
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThat is up to you but do not expect to hear from her for weeks at a time. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #10199 20130417 05:16:10
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSounds a bit like my relationship with everyone I know... #10200 20130417 05:19:33
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI am going to take a little break, see you in a bit. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
