Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Why are they unfounded? She seems more distant as a result of meeting up with her BF again, just feels like I missed my only chance.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Okay, so you should allow her to use you for homework help for nothing? Tutoring costs. If she were a friend that might be different.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

It is not homework, she does not need my help for that. She is a maths tutor herself. She does very well in school... I don't know if I can charge money, it's just not the sort of position I'm in, and I'm no master of STEP either. There must be something else I can do...

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Then if she can do her own math and does not like you what the heck do you two have in common?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

The only maths she knows is the stuff she is taught in school, whereas a lot of the maths I know I had to teach myself. She likes it when I talk about it; she doesn't need to learn it for any reason, she just finds some of it interesting. As for things in common, well, we both like maths I guess...

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I found this from almost 3 months ago:

---

On finding me attractive: "I enjoy your company and you're intelligent and funny and it's exciting getting to know someone new.......... Don't confuse me please. I do want to get to know you better."

"It's so complicated. I have a boyfriend so I can't let myself look at other people in that way. Do you feel anything for me?"

"I think you are attractive but that's as far as I know."

---

darn, I knew I should have just went for it.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I did mention that a few times. I am afraid that if you can not even get her to offer something for your help then you are totally dead.

But how is that going to happen again if you can not convince her to barter?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Personally I think I could easily do that again, it's not too difficult being close to her. More than hugging her -- I think that would be difficult.

When I greet her family I normally have to kiss them on the cheeks, I don't do that with adriana though, perhaps I should.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

You are not following me, she is not writing you unless she needs something. How long has it been already from the last email? As soon as she is done she is gone for days or weeks. If you can not play the part of Homework guy then you are dead.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

3 days so far.

I don't want to play the part of homework guy. I can see that working with foreign students, but not a British woman. How am I supposed to say "hey adriana, I've been helping you with STEP for free, but now I'm only going to help you unless you sleep with me"? That has about a 0.000001% chance of success.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Well if you phrase it like that you make it sound like something illegal. I am not proposing blackmail here.

This is the way it works, you help and then she coyly says, "you are doing so much for me, I do not know how to repay you." You say,"I will think of something." She giggles because she already knows what is on both your minds.

If you can not get that then this girl is not for you, move on. Stop doing her homework math or whatever it is unless you are no longer interested in her at all and just want to help another person. Then I suggest you help someone else who will at least say thank you and who needs the help.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Okay, I will try but getting her to say that phrase will be difficult (she has never said that actually).

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Listen, she understands that when a guy is helping her he expects something in return. Where has she been? On Mars. They know that when guys even talk to them it is because they are interested in them and vice versa. This is not news to her. There is no such thing in any guys mind as a platonic friendship. You are not interested in just being a friend are you? You want more, she knows that and knows how to handle it.

If she has not made 100 different overtures by now then she is not for you and you can safely move on.

You do not have to get her to do anything. It is presumed that she wants more just the same as you. If she does not then what is the point?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Well, I kind of had a plan before that I could get her to break up with her BF using the "I'm right on your doorstep" argument, but I do not know if that will work now. Since Cyprus she has not made any overtures at all...

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Picking a girl that has a bf is a losing proposition. The more you try to break them up the closer they are going to get. The key here is always the same thing. Drop her. Do answer emails, maybe 1 per week. Do not have any time for her. Let her know you have moved on and really mean it. If you have a chance it is right there. If not , then you have already moved on.
