Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI have, but barring some miracle I'll never finish them all. #9977 20130410 18:36:01
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWhy handicap yourself worrying about what that person is apt to do? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9978 20130410 19:03:22
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSometimes I keep thinking about my missed opportunities. #9979 20130410 19:05:47
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHopefully you have learned how to deal with the next one a bit better. The funny thing about all of this is that every guy has to go through it personally before he figures it out. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9980 20130410 19:15:51
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI should have started years ago, like everyone else my age was doing. #9981 20130410 19:23:33
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formulait would not have helped. You have some more to go through before you will be battle hardened. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9982 20130410 19:27:55
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYes, I know that the reality is I have it quite good. My uncle for instance had children with multiple women, most of whom cheated on him and it turned out that the children weren't even his, unfortunately giving him suicidal thoughts. I am lucky that I'm not in that situation. #9983 20130410 19:29:22
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYour uncle seems to have had as much bad luck with them as I have. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9984 20130410 19:35:46
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSad thing is he is not even 30 yet. #9985 20130410 19:39:40
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI told you of just a few. I did not take my own advice often enough. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9986 20130410 19:46:20
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaMaybe I can avoid some of those landmines if I tread carefully. I know that inevitably I must run into a few though. #9987 20130410 20:01:53
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou need those landmines to learn. Unfortunately we need to experience things to know them, In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9988 20130410 22:25:52
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIt is a pity it is unlikely to help you with the same person, only the next one. #9989 20130411 01:41:26
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaCould be a blessing, and there is always a next one. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9990 20130411 01:50:18
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWaiting for it feels like an eternity however. #9991 20130411 01:53:53
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou should not be waiting for it. You have other ones who now are talking to you more than she does. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9992 20130411 01:57:56
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI do not mean to be rude, but how old are you Zetafunc.? 'And fun? If maths is fun, then getting a tooth extraction is fun. A viral infection is fun. Rabies shots are fun.' 'God exists because Mathematics is consistent, and the devil exists because we cannot prove it' 'Who are you to judge everything?' Alokananda #9993 20130411 02:15:44
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaJust one and there's less communication between us now. I think I'll wait for another. There's Hannah too but the frequency of replies is somewhat inconsistent. #9994 20130411 02:16:42
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThat is two, that is alot. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9995 20130411 02:21:37
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThe content of the email exchanges between myself and Hannah are predominantly mathematical though not that that is much of a bad thing. It makes for interesting conversation. #9996 20130411 02:22:46
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSince you are interested in what you have in common with a prospect it is very good. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9997 20130411 02:29:35
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThe trouble with her is that her replies are inconsistent; sometimes we will have an exchange of emails in the space of a day, and often I'd wait a week at least for a reply. #9998 20130411 02:31:34
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThat is still less than gaps of 3 weeks. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9999 20130411 02:32:35
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHannah's previous gap was almost 6 weeks... before that it was a solid once per day though and they were pretty long too. #10000 20130411 02:34:11
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou did not strike when the iron was hot, so to speak. Now it is a little late. But perhaps you can rekindle it. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.
