Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaTo do what? She has a bf and a gf. She parties hearty. The reason she gets all nice and goodly when you are doing math is because you are giving your knowledge to her for nothing. She probably already has had experience with someone exactly like homework guy. She probably paid the price too. You are cheaper. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9177 20130316 20:08:37
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYes, I am cheaper. They will always see me as the cheapest option. #9178 20130316 20:11:37
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThat is the point. I think you are worth a raise. If she can have a gf and bf here, a bf in Barcelona and Cyprus all who are getting their moneys worth, how about you? Time for a general strike! In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9179 20130316 20:19:13
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI think the logical thing is just to try to find other prospects who I am worth more too. They are difficult to find though. #9180 20130316 20:26:09
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHi; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9181 20130316 20:48:20
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIf by companionship you mean no friends at all, then yes, I think that will be hard. At present, I just talk to a (male) friend if I am feeling lonely. #9182 20130316 20:49:59
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI meant no female companions. It causes a hardship on everybody but you will get used to it. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9183 20130316 21:00:29
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI can cope as long as I have (male) friends. Like for instance, my friend was the one who asked me if I wanted to go to that Weinberg lecture with him (he's applying for engineering). It was fun to go with someone without all those dating complications we've known each other for years and it was nice to do something fun instead of sitting at home on a school night. #9184 20130316 21:03:09
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou can also go out by yourself. If you use your head you can avoid trouble. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9185 20130316 21:23:55#9186 20130316 21:50:37
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSometimes when I feel a little cooped up I go for a little walk around the complex. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9187 20130316 22:00:35
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI used to do that too. Trouble is, even walking is painful for me now... remember when I walked 15 miles for a biscuit tin? No way could I do that now. A mere 2 miles is now a battle with pain. I don't know why, it is not just the knees anymore. The feet, the ankles, the anterior tibialis, the shins. It is incredibly frustrating... #9188 20130316 22:04:22
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSometimes decreased activity causes more pain. Heating pads, or hot showers can alleviate pain when you have it. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9189 20130316 22:13:26
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI haven't changed my level of activity though. This all started when I had to go to Cambridge for my interview, I had to wear those tight smart shoes for 2 days. It was painful but I thought it was worth it and it would just go away in a couple of weeks. 3 and a half months later I still have it and it is worse... I think I should go for an Xray. #9190 20130316 22:17:27
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIs it swollen and or red? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9191 20130316 22:50:58
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaDoesn't really look swollen but I definitely see bruising there. #9192 20130316 22:53:25
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaAround the ankles or the whole foot? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9193 20130316 23:24:55
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaAround the ankles but mostly around the front of the foot (not near the toes, at the opposite end). #9194 20130316 23:33:51
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaDid you roll your ankles while you were walking or running ever before? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9195 20130316 23:38:35
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI don't think so. The smart shoes I wore for a couple of days (I had to walk around a lot in them) were probably the cause, they were pushing into my foot in the same spot that hurts now... #9196 20130316 23:42:51
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaProbably bruised it pretty bad. Doesn't sound broken. Next time carry a backpack and put the fancy shoes in it. Walk in your sneakers and when you get close to your destination switch shoes. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9197 20130316 23:51:22
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI wanted to, but there was no room in my bag, unless I carried an extra plastic one. Can bruises last that long? #9198 20130316 23:53:30
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaBoth feet and are they black and blue? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9199 20130317 00:23:54
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaOn the surface it only looks like a light bruise but it is painful. The bruise is most prominent on the left foot used to have it on the right foot as well but that healed quickly. #9200 20130317 00:29:48
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaBruised ankles like that can last indefinitely. I have had mine since I was around your age. I would twist them playing basketball and the tendons would stretch and puff up. There is like a tire around both my ankles now that has remained from those days.
