### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I would say it is not necessary here anymore either. I have not done it in a very long time.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.
All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.

Yes, but it is round. You can roll a single coin.

That is good too, but it is harder to roll.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I thought you meant roll in the sense of rolling it from one end to the other so you end up with a cylinder of paper money... banks over here don't even take my coins anymore, unless they are £1 or £2.

What do you do with the coins then? I use them when I go to the store.

Used a coin machine to turn the pennies into higher denominations of coins -- was charged 8.9% of the total money for it though. I put in about £60.

Machines will charge an unfair percentage. You bank will not accept coins anymore?

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Nope, you used to be able to fill those little marked bags with 100 pennies, or 50 2p, or 20 5p, etc... to make £1 in each bag, but they weren't making money from that, so they stopped doing that.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I might be wrong but over here banks will accept coins rolled or not but they do not return money. They put them into your account. So you have to wait 24 hours to take the money out.

That is good... over here they seem to hate coins! They don't even let you change up foreign currency unless it's in paper form.

You will have bring them into stores and partially pay for things using coins instead of paper.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I have done that a few times, I annoy everyone around me though and it takes an eternity. Once paid for £20 of shopping using only 1p and 2p coins. Think it took half an hour, because she lost count when nearing the finish line.

You do not have to do it all at once. I bring a couple of coins and add them in with the paper.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I like to keep my highest denominations, if there is an option to give a person ten 5p coins instead of a 50p, I will do that. I almost never like to spend paper money, that is for the banks!

Only because I am one of the cheapest guys out there.

Yes, they have them in some stores. They have to be big stores like supermarkets. They charge 10% I think.

That is similar to here, they charge 8.9% most of the time. Was 7.9% only a few years ago.
