Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Hi;

If you read it, it is book true. In real practice though convergence is much more difficult.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I ask because they are really fun to use to sum series. For instance, by determining the FS of e^x in the interval [-π,π], I determined that

which is a very nice result... but if my convergence just isn't exact then what I am doing is essentially pointless. There is also another series I have which I need a computer package or something to determine the convergence of, though.

I heard from adriana too.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Post the series and the new info. But as I told book mathematics and real mathematics are not the same things. When you actually try to compute the sum you will see the difference.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

This was our conversation:

---

adriana: Hey how are you? Have you heard from Imperial yet? I'm still waiting sad I hope you're well.

Me: Good thanks, you? Yeah I heard back from them yesterday. How was the party?

adriana: I'm still sick but okay. And I'm guessing an offer..? It was a LOT of fun. I wasn't drunk but merry enough to have a good time.

Me: Yeah an offer, although I'm not going there. Glad to hear you had a good time.

---

And then the conversation ended. My instinct is to be cold but not too cold... I can tell she misses talking to me though, hence the "I hope you're well".

The series I would like evaluated is:

.

I'd like an exact solution if possible but any information you can get about it would be appreciated.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Hi;

That is enough conversation. She will get over it quickly.

I will look at the series and post when I have a solution.

Missing the conversation. That type does dwell on things for very long. There is always some bit of partying to do.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

To be honest I am missing the conversation too, I am doing maths/coursework to pass the time but I don't really have anyone else to talk to so it is boring.

Heck, you can talk with me. I am more interesting than she is. Except for the body parts.

I mean, someone to talk to about absolutely anything and someone I can potentially meet up with and have a nice time with.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I don't know, but she fact that she is still talking to me implies she wants something of some sort, but I do not know what it could be other than just my attention. She has a BF, I shouldn't be necessary.

You aren't, you are a pet. Perhaps she will need you to help her with her math homework. Perhaps she will use you to vent her emotions on.

I don't mind helping with maths homework but not for her to vent her emotions on.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I don't know. She has a BF and seems intent on being faithful to him, so she cannot think about being intimate with me. So she must just think of me of that guy who has nothing else to do, so when she is bored she just has to go to me for a little bit of a self-esteem boost. Just a friend who will fan her with the attention she feels she needs, as a substitute for the intimacy she should be getting from her BF but isn't because he is a thousand bloody miles away.

Yes, I would think it is.

It is sad but I did know some girls like that.

What do you plan to do about it?
